Greeting to all of Bishoftu City and the surrounding community, to all our partners, and to the international community on behalf of Bishoftu General Hospital. Bishoftu General Hospital is located in Bishoftu City, east of Shewa Oromia region, Ethiopia.
Our aim is to provide compressive health service irrespective of any difference for those in need to see a healthy, productive, and prosperous society. Currently, we are providing in-patient admission, emergency, and non-emergency medical and surgical services for all age groups in more than 20 departments with high patient loads. Our future plan is to expand service delivery care, being a center of excellence by providing quality care and excel the hospital tier level.
We had experience working with local and international NGOs to tackle the community health problem. We worked a lot to capacitate the mentee health centers and hospitals in the region. we believe that our contribution to implementing regional and national strategic plans was great.
Health is dynamic, and the contributing factors to health problem are multifactorial thus it needs one health(human health, Animal health, and environmental health ) approach to tackle new emerging and reemerging infectious and noninfectious health challenges like covid-19, AMR, and NCD. I call up local and international stakeholders to invest in health promotion, disease prevention, and public health research and to build advanced diagnostic workups and treatment setups. “Access to health service for all. “
